Does Having More Sex Make You "Sexier?"

I was running one of my series of workshops on Fearless Sexuality and Sexual Charisma when one of the participants asked me if having more sex makes a person sexier?

This sexual myth has been doing the rounds quite a bit lately and Ive not yet come across studies and research that conclusively shows that having more sex actually makes people feell sexier.

From my own experience, there was a time when my relationship life was so messed up that I decided I needed time-out to try and figure out why I was running away from serious relationships and commitments. I was so messed up that for 5 years I did not have any sex at all - not even solo-sex.

I noticed I was feeling sexier than I ever felt in my whole life. Given the sex-positive environment I was raised in, sexier means I was oozing it from every pore of my skin in large amounts. I did not have to say or do anything - all I had to do was walk into a room and cause chaos. Married women would grab their husbands by the arm and single guys literally begged for me to say their names out aloud. Even women were hitting on me left and right. One time I went to a friends house and his dog was all over me, he said hed never seen his dog that excited. The dog had to put in its kennel.

I told my ritual mother what was happening and she told me that although I wasnt having sex with another human being, I was "making love to the whole universe." I was in a state where I was sexy because I was flowing with what nature intended for me to be a full sexual being.

Until I have full proof that "having sex" actually makes you feel sexier - well documented research with facts, not the one which asks people whove just had sex if they feel sexier after bonking each other silly - I believe that "knowing that you can have sex with just about anyone you chose, when you want and how you want it actually makes you feel sexier. Knowing you have that much "power" and "control" over your sexual life makes you feel as sexy as sexy can be.

Though Id rather have sex (with my guy) than eat food, I also believe that feeling sexy has nothing to do with things we do to get into the "mood of sex" or cause others to be in that mood. Being sexy is who you are whether you are engaged in a sexual activity or not. It's something that is completely unconscious, natural and effortless. And its not something you can switch on and off (be sexy this time and in this place, and not be sexy another time in another place).

As someone coming from a whole different culture I see that here in North America, there is so much struggle with sexual expression (acting sexy, looking sexy, talking sexy, walking sexy, wearing this or that to feel sexy etc) and so much self doubt and plain old feeling dirty and guilty. Most people are pre-occupied with doing rather than just-being. Even people who say they teach others to just live in the moment end up prescribing things for people to do in order to just live in the moment. Very few of them actually know what just being really means.

Having more sex in order to feel sexier is just another doing instead of being. When you are operating from your fullness as a sexual person sexy is WHO you are AND YOU DONT KNOW ANY OTHER WAY TO BE.

When you play with life or make love to the universe, you release your sexual energy and let it work for you instead of you struggling to do what sexual energy can do best - effortlessly and naturally. But much more than that, its non-stop ecstasy. You wake up every day looking forward to living it to its fullest! That energy is sexier than anything you'll ever say or do!

Gay Compatibility

A lot has been said about gay compatibility, comparing it to the compatibility between partners in straight relationships. A lawsuit against eHarmony alleged discrimination against gay men and women, causing the founder of the website to state that he believed the compatibility between gay couples to be different than that of straight couples. There is no decisive evidence to show that this is the case, however. Gay couples face the same compatibility issues as other couples, and finding someone that youre compatible with can take time.

When it comes to romantic compatibility, the interests of the people involved are a major factor. They say that opposites attract, but that attraction can only carry a relationship so far. If you dont have something in common, then the relationship will suffer. Eventually youll run out of things to talk about, and thats the end. This doesnt mean that you have to have all of the same interests for you and your partner to be compatible, however.

The key to being compatible in a relationship is showing an interest in your partners activities. Even if you otherwise wouldnt be interested in them, by letting your partner know that youre interested in the fact that they enjoy them you can build a deeper understanding between the two of you. This doesnt mean that you have to pursue these interests, of course simply encourage them to do the things that they enjoy, and let them encourage you in the same manner. This isnt limited to just physical activities, either. Try to show an interest in the things that your partner wants, the ideas that they have, and all of the things that make them unique.

One thing to keep in mind is that there will be some situations in which you and your partner clash. This could be over certain household chores, the way you pursue some interests, or a variety of other things. Dont let tension build because of these clashes, as that can sour your relationship. Instead, learn to compromise with each other. You dont have to give in to all of their wants in order to compromise; a relationship is give-and-take, and thats exactly what you should do when trying to reach an understanding over a problem point. The more you and your partner are willing to compromise with each other, the more compatible you will become.

Just remember that you cant force compatibility. The harder you try to be compatible with someone, the more you will start to resent that forced compatibility. Over time, this can even begin to change your views of the person youre trying to be compatible with. Instead of trying to force things to work out, try and be patient so that compatibility can come in its own time. Compromise and showing a genuine interest in the other persons hopes and dreams can help to speed this process up, as can simply being willing to talk things out and listening to what your partner has to say.

Head Lice Treatment and Removal

Head lice treatment or head lice removal, whatever one may call it, the process usually involves three basic methods. They are

Mechanical removal of lice and nits
The use of pesticide-based head lice solutions
Natural treatments.

The most sure fire head lice treatment involves shaving off the hair or at least cutting off the hair to say, around an inch and a half. However this head live treatment method is needless to say not very practical and is not always possible.

Since the problem mostly affects younger girls who may take an instant aversion to shaving the head, cutting it off to smaller length may offer a mid-way solution. While the reason behind shaving off the head is quite obvious as no lice can ever harbor a shaven head, shorter hair also helps remove the lice since it results in creating an insufficient ambient temperature where the lice can not live or multiply.

Mechanical removal of head lice entail the use of a fine-tooth metal comb that can easily pick out the lice when used firmly on the head. The operation should start from the hair root and then gradually reach the hair end. Plastic combs can also serve the purpose to some extent but the spacing between the plastic teeth usually spreads out after a couple of uses. A used toothbrush kept aside may come to use during the cleaning of the comb. Wet combing of the hair gives a better result if the following technique is followed.

Hair should first be combed with any ordinary comb to get rid of knots and tangles.
In order to facilitate easier running of the fine-toothed comb within the hair, it may be soaked with some conditioner or a slight amount of olive oil.
Now the fine-toothed comb may be pulled from the hair root to the hair ends, applying the process all over the head.
The combing operation may be repeated every two or three days till no lice or nit are found appearing on the comb, though some pharmaceutical societies recommend treating with comb and conditioner for ten consecutive days.

Use of Pesticide based head lice solutions is fairly common among the younger generation for the ease in their use. However they come with their own side effects. So with an increase in awareness on the subject these days more and more people are stopping this line of head lice treatment and are looking for alternatives.

Natural Treatments consist of ingredients that are grown or produced naturally by plant or floral components or are from herbal origins such as Tree Oil, Anise or Ylang ylang oils. There are other natural essential oils as well that work wonderfully well in head lice treatment. However, toxic side effects or allergic problems are not always ruled out in the case of using natural treatment procedures. And so while natural remedies are great, the right head lice treatment product needs to be picked carefully.
